RAMA’s mission is to prepare students for a career in asset management and increase interaction between members and industry professionals. As one of the largest student-led organizations at the Rotman School of Management, RAMA provides mentorship and education to students in all aspects of asset management including private equity, portfolio management, fixed income, and equity research. Additionally, members have the opportunity to participate in the Rotman Student Investment Fund (RSIF), a student-managed value investment fund, where students have the opportunity to perform thorough fundamental analysis on undervalued stocks.
The Rotman Asset Management Association (RAMA) was founded in 2006 by a group of second year Rotman students with the assistance of Rotman faculty and industry professionals. RAMA was formed to pass on vital knowledge about the asset management industry to incoming MBA students and prepare them for a career in the field. The club hosts speaker series events featuring high-profile industry professionals, intense case competitions, and runs a student investment fund through its subsidiary, the Rotman Student Investment Fund. RAMA members have gone on to work at prominent asset management firms as well as equity research teams across all the Canadian banks. The Rotman School of Management thrives on students helping students, promoting collaboration, and RAMA is proud to uphold these traditions.
